About Celebrant Kate
Many people ask why I became a marriage celebrant, so here’s the background and insight into how I do what I love doing most…
Firstly I love ‘love’ in all its forms, in all the unique ways we express it, and helping you to express it in your celebration.
My background, is in corporate leadership, communication and culture. Essentially helping people be the best they can be in the workplace. I’m fascinated by our brains, and I still love learning as much as I can about neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and positive psychology.
Because we’re human, we all have a story, and I am absolutely fascinated by people’s stories. I believe in our everyday lives we create our story, we live it, we tell it, and on your wedding day we celebrate it in way that’s true to you.
I don’t believe in doing anything because that’s the way it’s always been done, or because someone somewhere said that’s what you ‘should’ do. Generic is a waste of time.
I became a celebrant to inspire couples to see what’s possible, to help them find their story, to create a ceremony that is true to who they are and what’s important to them.
In the beginning I started doing a ceremony here and there and the feedback from couples and guests was overwhelmingly positive. They loved it and I loved it, so I kept doing more! Now this is my full-time job and I couldn’t be happier.
I’m on an absolute high after a wedding ceremony. I love seeing the pure joy and happiness on couples faces as they experience each moment of their ceremony. I also love seeing the range of emotions family and friends experience too. I really see it as an honour and a privilege to be part of such an important celebration, and to help make memorable moments happen.
I love what I do and I do it because I genuinely want you to have the most amazing ceremony ever!
